On the occasion of "RhineCleanUp 2022", the International Commission for the Protection of the Rhine (ICPR) and the Federal Institute of Hydrology (BfG) organised a waste collection campaign. They were supported by the AWO neighbourhood office Südliche Vorstadt. Despite the bad weather, around 60 volunteers helped to clear the banks of the Rhine from rubbish and litter. Afterwards, coffee and cake were served as a small thank you. The ICPR also used the event to provide information about its work and the "Rhine 2040" programme.
